Zeke is our Doot Doot. Bella is our Toot Toot. Together, these two much-loved pit bulls inspired our name, filled our home with laughter, and gave Doot & Toot its heart.
Zeke · Doot Doot
Mommy’s shadow. Professional bed hog.
Zeke believes that wherever Mommy goes, he has a standing invitation. His many names include Zeker Doodle, Doodle Butt, and our everyday favorite: Doot Doot. “Zeke” is practically his formal business name.
Bella · Toot Toot
A big heart. Fast feet. Unforgettable little toots.
Bella—Bell to us—was as lovable as they come. She filled our home with love, laughter, and the occasional surprise sound effect. Our sweet Toot Toot has crossed the rainbow bridge, but she will always be the heart of this store.
Two dogs, one crowded bed, and a name that stuck
One evening, Zeke and Bella were in bed with Mommy. By “with Mommy,” we mean hogging the bed while generously leaving her a little space near the edge.
Bella coughed. Then she tooted. Then she tooted some more. She really couldn’t help it, but with Doot Doot right beside her, the nickname practically wrote itself: Toot Toot!
The whole family thought it was hilarious. And that is how Doot & Toot began—with two pit bulls, a bedtime giggle, and some unexpected sound effects.
A family of “Pitty Pit Pigs”
We’re avid dog lovers, especially when it comes to the pit bulls we affectionately call our “Pitty Pit Pigs.” Zeke and Bella are our second pair. Bella came into our family after we lost our beloved Layla, and Zeke joined us after we lost our beloved Apollo.
They brought new love into our lives while Apollo and Layla kept their places in our hearts. Every one of these dogs has helped make our family who we are.
Bella’s adventures—and why keeping them close matters
Bella was known as a runner. And boy, did she run. She escaped more than once, giving us the kind of cardio nobody volunteers for: searching for a dog you love.
Thankfully, we found her safely every time. But we couldn’t stand the thought of not finding our dogs, so we finally got them trackers. That experience is part of why walking, adventure, and keeping our dogs close mean so much to us.
Forever our Toot Toot
We are still heartbroken over losing Bella. We miss her love, her presence, and all the little things that made her so completely herself.
She was the most lovable pit bull we ever met—although Zeke, Apollo, and Layla would all like to file a loving objection.
Doot & Toot is in Bella’s memory. We hope this little corner of the world does her justice: a place with a sense of humor, a whole lot of heart, and good stuff for dogs who are loved beyond measure.
